The Student Council represents the student body in the University. Its members are elected through the direct participation of the largest number possible of students on all of the campuses. The councils meet regularly with University authorities with the goal of channeling the student body’s concerns and to receive relevant information regarding the development of the Institution. The Student Council also has funds to organize activities which promote a healthy student environment and complement the academic efforts of the different campuses.
The students also have representation in the Academic Senates of each campus as well as in the University Council. Both the Senates and the Council are representative bodies responsible for taking care of the quality standards and performance of academic functions. They are responsible for developing proposed rules and directives related to the academic, educational, and student arenas, as well as guidance for the principle executives of each campus and the President of our institution.
