The INTER is the only university in the Caribbean with a school specializing in Optometry.
School of Optometry
The INTER’s School of Optometry offers a bilingual Doctor in Optometry degree program. This program is aimed at reaching excellence in all areas related to eye health. Our Optometry Degree is bilingual because our students and personnel treat mainly Spanish-speaking patients while the official language for the course materials is English.
For this reason, the School is the only accredited, bilingual program in the United States of America, the Caribbean, and Latin America. It is a model for other optometric programs in Hispanic countries.
School of Law
The Inter American University’s School of Law seeks to equip its graduates not only with legal expertise, but also with a broad knowledge of the history and development of the Law and the island’s legal institutions, specifically those related to modern Puerto Rican society. This focus is of utmost importance in order to enable new attorneys to understand the relationship between the practice of law with the culture they serve and to participate in the growth and improvement of the Law itself. Currently, the highest score on the bar admissions exam was secured by an INTER graduate due to the excellent preparation offered by our School of Law.
