Associate and Bachelor’s Degrees

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Be a US citizen, have permanent residency, or possess one of the following documents provided by the US immigration service: I-94, official asylum documentation, or other evidence that your stay is not temporary.
  3. Keep federal loan payments or established repayment plans current.
  4. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  5. Be registered with the Selective Service.
  6. Not be a member of a religious order or society, nor receive support from the same.
  7. Accept the offer for financial aid on or before the date established by the office.
  8. Maintain a GPA of at least 1.50 upon completing your second year of studies.
  9. Be enrolled in an eligible program.
  10. Completion of the record before receiving the first loan disbursement, if admission was conditional due to lack of documentation. Otherwise, any awards of financial aid will be cancelled.

Master’s and Doctoral Degrees

  1. Be a US citizen, have permanent residency, or possess one of the following documents provided by the US immigration service: I-94, official asylum documentation, or other evidence that your stay is not temporary.
  2. Maintain federal loan payments current.
  3. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  4. Demonstrate financial need in the analysis made of your situation.
  5. Not be a member of a religious order or society, nor receive support from the same.
  6. Accept the offer for financial aid on or before the dates established by the office.
  7. Be enrolled in an eligible program.
  8. Be admitted as a regular student.
  9. Complete the prerequisites established by the Program before completing 12 credits of the Master’s degree, if applicable.
  10. Completion of the record before receiving the first loan disbursement, if admission was conditional due to lack of documentation. Otherwise, any awards of financial aid will be cancelled.

Certificate Programs

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. Be a US citizen, have permanent residency, or possess one of the following documents provided by the US immigration service: I-94, official asylum documentation, or other evidence that your stay is not temporary.

  4. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  5. Not be a member of a religious order or society, nor receive support from the same.
  6. Accept the offer for financial aid on or before the dates established by the office.
  7. Maintain a GPA of at least 1.50 upon completing your second year of studies
  8. Completion of the record before receiving the first loan disbursement, if admission was conditional due to lack of documentation. Otherwise, any awards of financial aid will be cancelled.

School of Law

  1. Be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the US, or eligible noncitizen of the US.
  2. Be enrolled at least half-time (a minimum of 6 credits, none of which may be used to remove incompletes.) Note: To comply with the current academic catalog, students enrolled in the regular program must have at least 10 credits each semester and those enrolled in the evening program must have at least 8 credits each semester.
  3. Not owe any previously taken student loan, nor be a debtor of any scholarship granted in excess.
  4. Maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.00 GPA or higher)

School of Optometry

  1. Be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the US, or eligible noncitizen of the US.
  2. Be enrolled half-time, part-time, or full-time.
  3. Be enrolled in at least ten (10) credits in any academic semester.
  4. Not owe any previously taken student loan, nor be a debtor of any scholarship granted in excess.
  5. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
